Last day of the NWP in PHilly! Great weather for walking and writing outisde on November 21st. I walked the quiet streets to the Sheridan…
I was on my way to join the Writing Marathon and taking my time and with the push from Lynn via text….I showed up to a room filled with writers.
Good that Lynn had my back and was all set with a plan.
Perfect day to be out writing and we were documented by a duo of young NWP digital documentors with lots of sophisticated equipment. I want to be on the team. I’m hoping the John takes me up on my offer to join in next year. He did hand me his card and I have photos of him to share and send him.
It was fun- back to the Market Terminal for coffee and a writing spot. I could have stayed longer but I was in a group and went along with the group. We wrote, we shared, we got moving and bid farewell to the documenter team.
Off to the Libery Bell. Sunshine still and a long walk with camera bag and computer. Evertyhing is individually light but not combined. I want to sit down and get writing. I have my word count waiting.
Finally we do get to sit outside, on a bench but now I’m focused on the time. I am leaving the group before lunch to get back to the conference for lunch with Liz. We are creating a usual day- Saturday lunches.
I am off at the end of a 30 minute writing. I needed more writing space and a bit less walking but I’m fine. I will be meeting this group for dinner with Kevin and Tuvia at a cool spot- the White Dog Cafe. Sounds very cool.
In the streets I am coming to know well I arrive back at the Marriot right on time to find Liz and move across the street for lunch and good conversation. Good we are friends.
And now, I’m ready to see Tuvia and if I move, I can be back as he arrives at the hotel, in fact, as I arrive at the parking lot I call him and see him coming toward me and I signal him to turn into the lot.
He looks good. Very good.
And from then on vacation in Philly- I’m ready for it. He respects my need to spend quality time writing for my November challenge. He’s enjoying some of my preview reading.
He gets to meet some of my HVWP team- Steve, and then Jackie before she leaves, later Kathy and then after a needed lunch and nap, refreshed we are off to dinner. He sits next Lynn I’m next to Kevin and we are all enjoying.
Good to have him with me for another day in Philly!
