Visitors Are Invited

Welcome!

I have been writing here for almost two years, enjoying the opportunity to write publicly about what I feel passionate about and since you’ve found your way here, and spent some time reading, I’m wondering if you might like to share a comment, throw out a question or maybe join a discussion.

As teachers and writers, we know that these experiences can be both exciting and isolating and virtual conversations can sow the seeds for new communities and networks.

If you are ready to dive in, you can search for the comment link at the bottom of each post. If you are the first, you will see the words: “no comments.” If others have posted comments, the link will indicate how many comments are there.

This comment link will bring you to a comment box, where you will be asked to fill out some basic information (unless you are logged in as part of the Edublog Community and, therefore, are already known by my blog).

I will know if you leave a comment, I check often and you can rest assured I will respond. Other bloggers might join us and who knows where we might go from there.

You can click below your comment to be notified as well if there’s a response.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will leave a thought behind.

This is great, Bonnie. I’m still trying to sort out what I want to write. I really like the idea of the invitation over a ‘policy.’ I get that there can be a need for a policy, but I’m still shying away from it.

I’m one of Ms. S.’s students. I just created a meme. Would you mind playing along at http://nftwriter.edublogs.org/2008/05/15/a-brand-new-meme/?

    Thanks,

Great conversation today – really got the wheels churning, though you can likely tell by the fact that I’m here “visiting.” Thanks for the enthusiasm, and I’m looking forward to learning more! – michelle

Same here Michelle. Can’t wait to work on a new project with you.

Hi Bonnie! Whenever I want to improve my site (ever so slowly though) I always look at yours for guidance! I am now curious how I can change the way my avatar appears when I post on your site – does it pick up the avatar from my own edublog site based on the email address? I’m a bit confused…but as I am currently signed in, maybe this message will appear with the correct personal avatar and not the “standard” one that appeared on my other posting a while back. I know – go outside Grace! It’s gorgeous. So, I will head down to Riverside Park and take a look at the river… Thanks for your advice and guidance!

OK, I see that my previous post appeared with the right avatar. Now I’m trying it again just to check if it works when I am not logged in. Oh the things I can get stuck on! Thanks for letting me do this – “learning by doing” requires patient friends like you!
